A local writer will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase his or her literary work as well as to promote writing and literacy in the community by serving as the Library Foundation Writer-in-Residence. The Library Foundation will accept applications for the 2015-2016 Writer-in-Residence program June 1-31.


Applicants must be active, full- or part-time writers and reside in southwest Ohio. The Writer-in-Residence will serve from October 2015 through September 2016 and will earn a $10,000 stipend. In addition, the selected writer will be required to conduct a writer’s workshop, speak at community events and participate in Library promotions during the residency.¬¬¬ “The Library Foundation’s Writer-in-Residence has the chance to have a profound effect on readers and aspiring writers in Hamilton County,” says Kimber L.
