The following is a list of known serial killers active before 1900, in roughly chronological order. This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries.
This doesn't usually matter, as most weeks I don't have so much as a penny extra to spend on more books (not to mention the fact that I don't want to end up in the emergency room with one of my wife's boots lodged in my anal orifice because she caught me buying more books; in which, in her view, we are already drowning.). A couple of times a year, however, there will appear on the inevitable clearance table for a few dollars some General's memoir, or a recent work of military history, or a work of fiction by an author whom I respect- W.E.B.
Griffin for example. Luckily for me, this week I just happened to have some extra grocery money when I saw this book on the aforementioned clearance table for $6. I am very happy to note that either A) Mr. Griffin has returned to his usual form after the extremely disappointing previous volume in the 'Honor Bound' series ('Death and Honor'), or B) that William E. Butterworth IV is rapidly approaching the top of what must have been an extremely steep learning curve, and is now writing almost as skillfully as his father does. Butterworth the elder (i.e.
Griffin) has been one of my very favorite writers of fiction for many years, and I believe the 'Honor Bound' series to be among his best work. I am thrilled to find that this book is so much better than the last one, and can barely wait to read the next two in the series. The 'Honor Bound' series is my favorite of Griffin's many books. 'Honor of Spies,' isn't the best of the series, but it's a fast-paced page turner all the same.
Set in Argentina during World War II, Griffin, as always, leaves you wondering what's fiction and what really happened. Good morning to you. We are having a kind of “shitty” morning. Poor Link is still having bowel troubles. Free Ilayaraja Instrumental Songs Download. We are going to have to take him to the vet if this doesn’t get better today.

Last night was rough. Link decided he wanted to eat the apple skins I had put out for the insects and has been having a lot of bowel troubles! I was up with him most of the night trying to help him get through it. He seems better this morning! He is such a little foodie lol! Learning curve for me and probably not for him lol. As is the case with most dogs, he won’t remember why he wasn’t feeling well.
I did have some dreams. Had yet another one with David Bowie in it! Guess my conscious and subconscious are still trying to reconcile his passing.
I saw this silly video the other day, didn’t know it existed! I was pleasantly surprised to find one of the stars is from one of my all-time favorite vampire movie comedies What We Do In the Shadows, Jemaine Clement!

A beautiful way to say that nothing lasts forever. As I am witnessing and experiencing such dramatic history as these times, this little poem gives me hope. Just as beauty and “good things” fade away, so do the ugly and the negative. Time becomes the ditch digger to all unpleasantries! It’s 9:01 am on this deliciously cool Thursday morning – definitely starting to feel like fall here! We had morning temperatures in our area between 50 and 60 degrees! My being has been in a prayer space a lot lately – so many things going on in the affairs of men and nature! I am left wondering if the answer to my prayers for the greatest, most loving good for this Earth is what we have before us. The forces of Earth becoming the stern voice of God, speaking to us in such a manner we are forced to stop and listen. Will those who insist on ignoring what is happening to the Earth’s systems finally pay attention?
(The God of my understanding is pure energy, so I was curious to see how much energy is in a hurricane). Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in our lifetime; therefore, we must be saved by hope. Nothing which is true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history; therefore, we must be saved by faith. Nothing we do, however virtuous, could be accomplished alone; therefore, we must be saved by love. No virtuous act is quite as virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as it is from our own standpoint; therefore, we must be saved by the final form of love, which is forgiveness. 4 Aug 2017 – we are so grateful for Spot.
She is an active dog and because of that she helps keep us more active. She’s our family athletics coordinator! 🙂 Good morning, it’s 8:16 am as I start to write. We had a storm come through last night and by the looks of things, we got a bit of rain.
Very grateful for that and grateful that the severe thunderstorm warning we got before bed ended up only being a warning! It’s so funny with thunder. I was almost asleep and then it was like, “We now interrupt your sleep for these 30 seconds of thunder.” (Kyle’s words there). Sleep all through the night remains elusive for both Kyle and I.
I had some interesting dreams last night, I remember snippets of them. I dreamt about being with some old men and one of them telling/saying to me, “Do you want me to tell you how old you are?” I said something like, “3,000” and the man said, “try 5,000.” Other dreams were of being in an old parlor or Victorian type of settings. I remember men sitting on the deck of a ship.
My mind must be sorting through a bunch of stuff I’ve been looking at in my waking world like the Victorian Trading Company catalog, the Aspern Papers film set posts from Jonathan Rhys Meyers and other stuff. I don’t believe the person I am is that old but what do we know of our souls?
The energy our flesh encapsulates? The flesh is just a suite, a covering for the soul. The soul can be as old as time itself because there is no such thing as time in the unseen realms.for any other beings but humans is there such a thing as time! The dream realm in me obviously knows that.
Another conscious Key that may have unlocked last nights travels could have been this awesome post, Abandoning Adulthood, from my friend Ally. I have been thinking about this topic a lot lately! Source: Internet/aka friend FB post: Abandoning Adulthood by Maureen She was looking for something about adulthood, and found it. Ironically, just yesterday morning Kyle and I were trying to figure out why we were so crabby and irritable and realized it was because we were having to be adults or what we call “Adulting.” We had made an appointment for Link to have his back left leg looked at and didn’t want to take him even though it was the right thing to do. We had barely dropped him off and were getting groceries when the vet called to come back for him!
We dodged the almost $200 x-ray expense that is conveniently not covered under the Wellness plan we have both the dogs on.sigh. What the hell is insurance of any kind really good for?! It never covers what you need it to even though you are paying enough for it to cover everything!
Anyhewwe didn’t get away without spending money on an anti-inflammatory and in a couple of weeks we’ll see what’s going on oh yeah, he’s “obese”.sounds like he’s a little old man not a dog right?! 6 Aug 2017 – Link relaxing before Vet visit. He doesn’t look obese to us but apparently he is. On the way to the grocery store after we initially dropped him off, we were in the car bitching about EVERYTHING! I realized we were doing the thing we try very hard to avoid doing and that’s focusing on what’s wrong and not what we want to be going on instead. While President Trump it seems like like he’d rather be golfing instead of dealing with world issues and appears to be throwing away every opportunity put in front of him to make the world a better place, it’s not entirely his fault America is the mess it seems to be.
A secret part of me thinks, is hoping, his being President and what he’s been doing is just some sort of epic reverse psychology experiment! I wouldn’t want to be President or any form of government official these days! It’s so easy to solve the worlds problems from the seat of our cars, kitchen tables, video game chat and social media forums but quite another to actually be the ones who have to sort it all out! Anyways, Kyle and I finally talked ourselves to where the source of the anger was and it came back to us. We decided we would rather be doing anything else but what we had to do.goofing off!
This process we went through is something I learned to do in AA with the acronym HALT (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired) and doing a self examination before blaming others through the day and just before bed for things when your angry or upset.making amends. Anyhew.it’s Monday again.time to get on with it. I hope that wherever and whenever this finds you, you have everything you need inside and out to be fulfilled. I hope you know that even if it seems like nobody cares about you, there are people all over the world, myself included, that say a prayer of love and thanksgiving for you every day. Good morning to you. It’s 10:52 am as I start to write to you on this muggy, hot Saturday! I want to go out and “do my thing” where I put on my music and interact with nature but know it will be difficult so I’m procrastinating about it.
I can only imagine if I had to be out there all the time with no other options. Part of my gratitude list always includes having shelter with working climate control (A/C)! In the month of May I was having one of my altered states experiences. Kyle calls them “episodes” and this time he let me work through it at home because I refused to be anywhere else to deal with it. He just let me do my rituals and process through whatever was going on and it was hard but we got through it. Going through what we did is far more wonderful for me than it has ever been for him. People out there who go through what Kyle and I do, know this truth.
Being on the outside versus being within the experience is very different. For him it’s a lot like keeping the lid on a toddler and for me it’s a magical kingdom every day.
I get to witness first hand what it’s like when God uses all the life created on this planet to have various experiences of reality. Kyle gets to babysit while it happens so I don’t get hurt! We’ve been talking as I’m writing thislots of tears on my part because with some distance from it happening, it hurts me to know he had to go through so much for me and more than once now! This time Kyle became the involuntary Shaman I was asking for in a previous blog about this subject! 19 and 20 May 2017 my Pink spirit book messages: “They are not conscious of the unseen like action figures moved and motivated by an unseen force.” One day, during this time period I was sitting outside and a suddenly this huge wasp appeared and it was dragging a lifeless spider in front of me like it was showing me something. It would stop, look at me, then start dragging the body again. Another day a huge moth I’ve never seen before came and perched on my cot after refusing to leave my hand for almost an hour it seemed.
I’ve had many experiences like that with insects and other life forms. It’s a conversation and there are no words.just energy between us. The energy I guess they are picking up from me is that I love them, am interested in them, I want to understand them.mean them no harm! On the people front, it was like every conversation, every gesture.even driving in the car was deliberate, measured and there was purpose and an underlying meaning or conversation going on from what people normally see.
There was a collective consciousness at work that seemed to be controlled by a central point. One being using all of existence in my perception to coordinate each and every thing I was experiencing.we are talking epic choreographing! There were things happening that I couldn’t explain before my eyes, magic-like with smells and sounds appearing out of nowhere. For example I could all the sudden smell my Mom’s perfume and it was like she was in the room for a seconda visit. I would wake up smelling fresh baked bread so I got up and actually made it. I told Kyle it’s like the Mr. Smith’s from the Matrix only it’s not just one guy but all of creation acting in unison instead.
The experience this last time was like truly seeing the energy God of my understanding at work in all creation and they knew I could see them backwere allowing me to see them. Hope that makes sense!

What I made this afternoon I did with materials I already had – the only thing new was how I perceived what was before me, input from Kyle for how to start it and then just going with the flow. We can’t change the past.

A couple great articles from the Daily Good that I wanted to pass on – those who know me know that I love nature and animals very much. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi May 21, 2017— While Staff Sgt. Edwin Caba served in Afghanistan, a litter of puppies born on his base brought a sense of much needed joy and relief to the soldiers.
Many didn’t want to part with them once their tour ended. Enter Nowzad Dogs. Since 2007, the nonprofit has reunited more than 700 soldiers with the animals they cared for on duty. As the only official animal shelter in the country, it also helps find homes for abandoned animals in Afghanistan. Founder Pen Farthing, a former Royal Marine sergeant, named the organization after after Nowzad — a dog that adopted Farthing, and followed him back to base after he broke up a dogfight.
The dog had such an effect on Farthing that he found a way to take her home. In doing so, he realized he wanted to help others do the same.

I love the symbolism that comes in forms. It has been the exploring of this subject that has been partially responsible for the path my spiritual journey has taken me these past couple of years.

Every right prayer is answered before the prayer itself is finished-before we have “done speaking.” This is because God has pledged His Word to us that whatsoever we ask in Christ’s name (that is, in oneness with Christ and His will) and in faith, shall be done.
As God’s Word cannot fail, whenever we meet those simple conditions in prayer, the answer to our prayer has been granted and completed in Heaven as we pray, even though its showing forth on earth may not occur until long afterward. So it is well to close every prayer with praise to God for the answer that He has already granted; He who never forsakes His loving-kindness and His truth.
(See Daniel 9:20-27 and 10:12.) – Messages from the Morning Watch. When we believe for a blessing, we must take the attitude of faith; and begin to act and pray as if we had the blessing.
We must treat God as if He had given us our request. We must lean our weight over upon Him for the thing that we have claimed, and just take it for granted that He gives it, and is going to continue to give it. This is the attitude of trust. When the wife is married, she at once falls into a new attitude, and acts in accordance with the fact; and so when we take Christ as our Savior, as our Sanctifier, as our Healer, or recognizing Him in the capacity that we have claimed, and expect Him to be to us all that we have trusted Him for. “The thing I ask when God doth bid me pray, Begins in that same act to come my way.” May 20 “Shall I refuse to drink the cup of sorrow which the Father has given me to drink?” (John 18:11.) (Weymouth) God takes a thousand times more pains with us than the artist with his picture, by many touches of sorrow, and by many colors of circumstances, to bring us into the form which is the highest and noblest in His sight, if only we receive His gifts of myrrh in the right spirit. But when the cup is put away, and these feelings are stifled or unheeded, a greater injury is done to the soul that can ever be amended.
For no heart can conceive in what surpassing love God giveth us this myrrh, yet this which we ought to receive to our souls; good we suffer to pass by us in our sleepy indifference, and nothing comes of it. Then we come and complain; “Alas, Lord! I am so dry, and it is so dark within me!” I tell thee, dear child, open thy heart to the pain, and it will do thee more good than if thou wert full of feeling and devoutness. – Tauler “The cry of man’s anguish went up to God, ‘Lord take away pain: The shadow that darkens the world Thou hast made, The close-coiling chain That strangles the heart, the burden that weighs On the wings that would soar, Lord take away pain from the world Thou hast made, That if love Thee the more.’ “Then answered the Lord to the cry of His world: ‘Shall I take away pain, And with it the power of the soul to endure, Made strong by the strain?
Shall I take away pity, that knits heart to heart And sacrifice high? Will ye lose all your heroes that lift from the fire White brows to the sky? Shall I take away love that redeems with a price And smiles at its loss? Can ye spare from your lives that would climb unto Me The Christ on His cross?”. May 20, 2017— “Storytelling, recognised in every society as a way of making sense of cultural roots or social reality, is an elaborate form of metaphor, and memoir is its masterpiece: life stories enable us to share insights and enhance mutual understanding in a social, political, psychological and spiritual sense. Memoir is revolutionary precisely because, when shared, it’s a way towards the truth.” In this essay, Paul Tritschler skillfully demonstrates how sharing our human stories can connect us, change us, even save us.
As common travelers on this earth, we are more similar than different, kept apart by our own mental barriers. Here, Tritschler shares two experiences from his journey where he learned about empathy, altruism, joy, and sacrifice from strangers who broke down barriers with little more than their human spirit. Last night Kyle found out Netflix had the last episode of Season 4 Sherlock (BBC) available to watch ( ) so I decided we were watching it! Kyle more than I wasn’t sure he wanted to see it, but I had watched a synopsis a week or so ago and was curious.
It was pretty much as we expected. Kyle gave it a 3.5 out of 5. He feels Steve Moffat might have been more focused on wrapping Dr. Who than this episode but that is speculation on his part of course. I would rate if about a 4 out of 5. For me, once again, it was seeing just how Ben and Martin’s chemistry on-screen has changed from when they first began. Their performances were both stiff and just not as amiable as they have been in previous seasons.
They both seemed just tired and I didn’t feel them in their parts. The adding of the sister and how that unfolded at Sherrinford didn’t evoke much feeling from either of us other than feeling we were watching a less bloody Saw movie – Eurus versus Jigsaw. I am glad I saw it and got official closure on the series! 16 May 2017 – I drew this about 5:20 in the afternoon, not knowing we were going to be watching the final episode of Sherlock. After we watched it, I realized this map kind of looks like Sherrinford lol! He didn’t win the BAFTA for Leading actor for (The Hollow Crown – Richard), but he is a winner to me no matter what!
From what I’ve seen of his work, I don’t think he does it for the accolades. What I have seen is he just genuinely seems to love the work – may be to a fault?! (the fatigue I saw in Sherlock). What better award can there be than that? Getting to do what you love for a living?! Streams in the Desert reading for today that seems to follow quite well and could have been written for Ben lol. Streams in the Desert message for today 1 Streams in the Desert message for today 2 May 17 “And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wildnerness.an angel of the Lord.sayingnow come, I will send thee into Egypt.” (Acts 7:30-34.) Often the Lord calls us aside from our work for a season, and bids us be still and learn ere we got forth again to minister.
There is no time lost in such waiting hours. Fleeing from his enemies, the ancient knight found that his horse needed to be re-shod. Prudence seemed to urge him on without delay, but higher wisdom taught him to halt a few minutes at the blacksmith’s forge by the way, to have the shoe replaced; and although he heard the feet of his pursuers galloping hard behind, yet he waited those minutes until his charger was refitted for his flight. And then, leaping into his saddle just as they appeared a hundred yards away, he dashed away from them with the fleetness of the wind, and knew that his halting had hastened his escape. So often God bids us tarry ere we go, and fully recover ourselves for the next stage of the journey and work. –Days of Heaven upon Earth Waiting!
Yes patiently waiting! Til next steps made plain shall be; To hear, the inner hearing, The Voice that will call for me. Yes, hopefully waiting! With hope that need not grow dim; The Master is pledged to guide me, And my eyes are unto Him. Expectantly waiting! Perhaps it may be today The Master will quickly open The gate to my future way.
Still waiting! I know, though I’ve waited long, That, while He withholds His purpose, His waiting cannot be wrong. Yes, waiting! Still waiting! The Master will not be late; He knoweth I am waiting For Him to unlatch the gate.
Dawson Smith Some headlines laced with some hypocrisy: – it is sad people are stooping to the same levels the opposite side of the fence have already done to this point. Violence is never the answer!
I understand what’s going on though. This is the seed that has been sown by our current administration in Washington. They have sown a very hostile orchard. – Do you think?!!
– no surprises here! Hypocricy and deceit yet again.
The New York Times By MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT Comey Memo Says Trump Asked Him to End Flynn Investigation WASHINGTON — President Trump asked the director, James B.
Comey, to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, in an Oval Office meeting in February, according to a memo that Mr.
Comey wrote shortly after the meeting. “I hope you can let this go,” the president told Mr.
Comey, according to the memo. The existence of Mr. Trump’s request is the clearest evidence that the president has tried to directly influence the Justice Department and F.B.I. Investigation into links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia.
Comey wrote the memo detailing his conversation with the president immediately after the meeting, which took place the day after, according to two people who read the memo. The memo was part of a paper trail Mr. Comey created documenting what he perceived as the president’s improper efforts to influence an ongoing investigation.
Agent’s contemporaneous notes are widely held up in court as credible evidence of conversations. Comey shared the existence of the memo with senior F.B.I. Officials and close associates. The New York Times has not viewed a copy of the memo, which is unclassified, but one of Mr.
Comey’s associates read parts of the memo to a Times reporter. “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go,” Mr.
Trump told Mr. Comey, according to the memo. “He is a good guy.
I hope you can let this go.” Mr. Trump told Mr. Comey that Mr. Flynn had done nothing wrong, according to the memo.
Comey did not say anything to Mr. Trump about curtailing the investigation, only replying: “I agree he is a good guy.” In a statement, the White House denied the version of events in the memo. “While the president has repeatedly expressed his view that General Flynn is a decent man who served and protected our country, the president has never asked Mr. Comey or anyone else to end any investigation, including any investigation involving General Flynn,” the statement said. “The president has the utmost respect for our law enforcement agencies, and all investigations. This is not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation between the president and Mr. Comey.” In testimony to the Senate last week, the acting F.B.I.
Director, Andrew G. McCabe, said, “There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date.” A spokesman for the F.B.I. Declined to comment. Comey created similar memos — including some that are classified — about every phone call and meeting he had with the president, the two people said.
It is unclear whether Mr. Comey told the Justice Department about the conversation or his memos.
Trump administration officials have provided multiple, conflicting accounts of the reasoning behind Mr. Comey’s dismissal. Trump said in a television interview that one of the reasons was because he believed “this Russia thing” was a “made-up story.” The Feb. 14 meeting took place just a day after Mr.
Flynn was forced out of his job after it was revealed he had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about the nature of phone conversations he had had with the Russian ambassador to the United States. Despite the conversation between Mr.
Trump and Mr. Comey, the investigation of Mr. Flynn has proceeded. In Virginia, a federal grand jury has issued subpoenas in recent weeks for records related to Mr.
Part of the Flynn investigation is centered on his financial ties to Russia and Turkey. Comey had been in the Oval Office that day with other senior national security officials for a terrorism threat briefing. When the meeting ended, Mr.
Trump told those present — including Mr. Pence and Attorney General Jeff Sessions — to leave the room except for Mr. *Alone in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump began the discussion by condemning leaks to the news media, saying that Mr. Comey should consider putting reporters in prison for publishing classified information, according to one of Mr.
Comey’s associates. Trump then turned the discussion to Mr. After writing up a memo that outlined the meeting, Mr. Comey shared it with senior F.B.I. Comey and his aides perceived Mr. Trump’s comments as an effort to influence the investigation, but they decided that they would try to keep the conversation secret — even from the F.B.I. Agents working on the Russia investigation — so the details of the conversation would not affect the investigation.
Comey was known among his closest advisers to document conversations that he believed would later be called into question, according to two former confidants, who said Mr. Comey was uncomfortable at times with his relationship with Mr. Comey’s recollection has been bolstered in the past by F.B.I. In 2007, he told Congress about a now-famous showdown with senior White House officials over the Bush administration’s warrantless wiretapping program. The White House disputed Mr. Comey’s account, but the F.B.I. Director at the time, Robert S.
Mueller III, kept notes that backed up Mr. Comey’s story.
The White House has repeatedly crossed lines that other administrations have been reluctant to cross when discussing politically charged criminal investigations. Trump has as a hoax and called for an investigation into his political rivals.
His representatives have taken the unusual step of declaring no need for a special prosecutor to investigate the president’s associates. The Oval Office meeting occurred a little more than two weeks after Mr.
Trump summoned Mr. Comey to the White House for a lengthy,. At that dinner, on Jan. Trump asked Mr. Comey at least two times for a pledge of loyalty — which Mr. Comey declined, according to one of Mr.
Comey’s associates. Trump said that “James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” After the meeting, Mr. Comey’s associates did not believe there was any way to corroborate Mr. Trump’s statements. Trump’s has made them wonder whether there are tapes that back up Mr. Comey’s account.
27 dinner came a day after White House officials learned that Mr. Flynn had been interviewed by F.B.I. Agents about his phone calls with the Russian ambassador, Sergey I.
26, Acting Attorney General Sally Q. Yates told the White House counsel about the interview, and said Mr. Flynn could be subject to blackmail by the Russians because they knew he had lied about the content of the calls. Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman contributed reporting.

While Trump is correct to say he has an “absolute right” to share any information he wants, experts say that strategy can be risky — especially because allies could lose their trust in the U.S.
