How to use Startup Sound Changer: Step 1: Download the Startup Sound Changer zip file and extract it to get the setup file. Step 2: Run the setup file and follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation. Step 3: Launch Startup Sound Changer with admin rights. Use the Replace button to browse to the custom sound file. Please note that the new sound file must be in.wav format only. Step 4: You are done!

You can always use the Restore button to revert to the default sound file. The program supports both x86 and x64 versions of Windows 7 and Vista. Several years have gone buy since I last tried to change the startup sound in Windows 7 so I decided to try again and got back to this site for ‘Startup Sound Changer’ which has since been updated with clearer instructions on how to use this tool and it worked Great! Thank You Soooo Much!! Changed my startup sound on two different Win 7 drives with NO hitches! Simple and easy.
