Feb 17, 2012. Re: CBT Nuggets JNCIA-JUNOS training. I'm not sure if you can still download them, it should say on that page. You can also get them in iTunes as a podcast. And FYI - No, the JNCIA CBTNuggets are complete garbage. I love CBTnuggets for Cisco, but their JNCIA. I just want (or need rather) to learn the JunOS syntax. I am CCNA and CCNP certified so in terms of networking as a whole, I have a very solid foundation already.

With CBT Nuggets course, they have flash cards built into the course themselves, which made me start thinking and hence the question; to see if anyone has a deck or slides that they are willing to share. I guess if I cannot find one, i'll pick up a book or two and maybe make my own to share. I don't know if i'm going to take the time to do them, but if I do, i'll certainly share. The reason I say that is because with the CCNA and CCNP, making my own with Anki helped TREMENDOUSLY to solidify concepts in my memory. These concepts obviously carry over to JunOS so its more just the O/S that I need to learn really, as i'm sure you're aware of yourself.

I work with a lot of high end gear, Cicso ASR series, Juniper MX series (hence my need for learning), Arista, etc. Even the architecture aspect for Juniper is similar to that of the ASR series. Haha.regardless, i'll certainly share should I make them up, not a problem at all. Good luck to you!

Does anybody happen to have a copy of the GNS3 lab files that accompany Jeremy's CCNP ROUTE nuggets? I bought the CCNP v5 package a while back before the ROUTE nuggets came out but now the exams have changed over I want the labs for ROUTE so I can prepare for that instead.

For some stupid reason owning the CCNP v5 material with them doesn't allow you access to the v6 resources. I already paid them a sizeable amount of money not that long ago. If anybody has a streaming account and can grab them, please flick me a PM. I've be ever so grateful.

Wirerat wrote:I just looked and there is nothing but the videos available on a streaming account. Looks like your going to have to create them from scratch. Are you looking via nuggetlab.com? According to a guy I know who works for CBT: 'They're only available on a permission-level, e.g., you can't get them unless you own the individual product or have a streaming subscription.' Yeah I see it now.

I do not know that I feel comfortable in handing this out as it could very well be copyrighted material. If you can find something saying this information is public domain then no problem. Wirerat wrote:Yeah I see it now. I do not know that I feel comfortable in handing this out as it could very well be copyrighted material. If you can find something saying this information is public domain then no problem. I'd go on the safe ROUTE ( bad pun, probably intended ) and say that it is probably copyrighted material.

Is there a disclaimer in the zip or the website you log into? Due to the high availability of the Nuggets on torrent sites, I would think that they'd try to keep these lab files close to their chest and restrict the distribution of them. Baybars wrote:After reading Wendell Odom's book and watching these videos (for more than a couple of times) for CCNP route I can say that they're no way near enough to prepare you for the exam. They should be twice as long to cover the necessary topics. Or maybe it's Wendell Odom's book that is unnecessarily long. Probably not.

Using any single source for learning and for certification exams is not recommended. At least I wouldn't recommend it. I always found the CBTNuggets a valuable resource to have after you've read the certification guides. And never forget the hands on experience. Be it GNS3 or homelab.

They are a good tool to refresh the most important topics. Progecad 2011 Professional Italiano Download Movies. Particularly this newest ROUTE videos by Jeremy where he uses GN3 for all his examples. And since he made the videos after taking the test he should have decent knowledge about whats actually needed for it. But since he doesn't go down in the nitty gritty about everything, so if you really want to know the stuff read the RFC and the ROUTE book. ' Display posts from previous: Sort.
